From 1915 to 1922 the property was registered in the name of Rena Wye of Vancouver and then changed to A.L. McKillop, also of Vancouver. Mr. McKillop was a retired engineer who, with his wife and one son Lex, built a wooden platform with a tent. Mr. McKillop reportedly sawed and chopped wood for other islanders during the war years.

About 1950, Derrick Field (son of the first owners of the Christopher house at 2766 Malaspina Promenade) operated an ice cream parlour that was known as The Penguin Bar on the property. It is unknown whether he owned or rented the site.

Derrick provided both ice cream and milkshakes. Ice cream making in the 1950s would have relied on the weekly delivery of huge ice blocks by Alan Mace.

In 1955 the property was purchased by Alan and Leone Mace.

In 1958 there is no structure on the property.

Andrew and/or Barbara Saxton purchased the lot in 1960.

Andrew Saxton is listed as sole owner in 2000.

Dave and Nancy Chapman purchased the property in 2015. On June 17, 2015 a modern home prefabricated by Karoleena Homes was lifted in sections by crane onto a cement foundation that had been installed by Matt Howe Construction.
